for Bass and Piano
[Mussorgsky arrangement]
Remarks: At the same time as the version of Beethoven’s Flohlied for Siloti’s Goethe concert, in St. Petersburg 1909, Strawinsky was working on the Flohlied by Mussorgsky for bass voice and piano. The arrangement was published in 1914 by the Russian firm Bessel, who owned the rights to Mussorgsky’s music, under the plate number 7320, was reprinted in 1970 in a Russian edition and acquired by Boosey & Hawkes after Strawinsky’s death.
